Kashwakamak lake wedding
They had a Kashwakamak lake wedding in North Frontenac, Ontario. A destination wedding where their guests stayed over night in cottages near by. It felt like a home away from home. They wanted to keep their wedding laid back and intimate.
Emily got in her Watters wedding dress. She held onto her hand written vows and her bridal bouquet made of carnations in peach and ivory tones. Emily walked down the aisle barefoot. As soon as her eyes met Lee’s, tears ran on her cheeks. Her realist had found his dreams and it made for a perfect match. Bells were rang by flowers girls and they walked up the aisle finally husband and wife.
Lake wedding
It was important to Emily and Lee to stay true to what they would do together on a normal weekend. Emily hiked in her beautiful sweetheart princess wedding gown barefoot. While Lee brought their drinks. They took the time to have their own private cocktail hour on the dock. As well as going on the water to canoe back to their reception. That's how we do it at a lake wedding. A barefoot bride in a canoe.
As an Ottawa wedding photographer, I was so glad I got to photograph this stunning Kashwakamak Lake wedding. It reminded me how much I love to photograph couples in love near water. There's something about the gentle flow of a lake that feels almost symbolic to me.
