Rocky mountain engagement
The closest thing we have to a Rocky mountain engagement in my corner of the woods is Morrison's Quarry. The beautiful turquoise blue water and the Rocky mountains reminds me of Banff in Alberta. It bears a strong resemblance to Lake Louise. Of course, it doesn't compare to the real thing but it's stunning beauty memorizes me. One day, I'll shoot a session in the Rockies. From Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Jasper or wherever the universe takes me.That's why Bola and James choose this place for their engagement photos. Bola lives in Chicago and James lives in Virginia. Both fresh off the plane that very morning, we met up for the first time. Having online met with Bola through FaceTime, I knew we were the perfect fit. They're planning an elegant and modern wedding at the NAC in Ottawa. I loved how stylish they presented themselves. Clothing can really enhance how you feel and tell a story on its own. Bola's beautiful velvet blue dress was so perfect with the rockies.During their session, while I was taking a photo of just Bola, James said about his fiance: 'Boy did I did good!' That spontaneous expression of affection said it all. I'm so grateful for couples like them who lets me into their little love bubble. Their trust and love is the reason why I'm able to produce my best work.Ever since their session, I find myself daydreaming about being a rocky mountain wedding photographer someday.
