Ottawa family photos

When Erin sent me an email to inquire for Ottawa family photos, one thing was for sure. She truly wanted all of the perfect, imperfect, messy, beautiful and real life moments captured. She wanted family photos that would reflect how they love and who they are. Lifestyle photography always had my heart but Ottawa family photos is a new love for me. As an Ottawa wedding photographer, my focus has always been on weddings. But when one of my brides, who is also a beautiful mama, asked if she could trade her complimentary engagement session for a lifestyle session, I couldn’t say no. I walked away bursting with happiness. And so, that’s how I became an Ottawa family photographer. During a session for Ottawa family photos, I love to mix it up. I love to give directions but I also love the messy within the structure. It probably goes something like this. I’ll let you know where to stand and I’ll let you settle in the pose. Then, I walk away ready for whatever might happen. It might be a beautiful standard photo or we might have to adapt to the toddler wanting to play with Thomas the train. That’s great! We’ll do that. Everyone on the ground and let’s play for a while. Let’s see what magic happens. They embraced life as it came. Because this really goes by way too fast and everyone knows it. Blink and you might miss it. But they didn’t blink and the time they spent together will be on their walls for years to come. One day, they might even make a slideshow of these photos for their son’s wedding. Who knows? Anything can happen.
