Hawkesbury wedding photographer
Being a Hawkesbury wedding photographer never crossed my mind until my brother and his fiancee Alicia planned to have their wedding in Hawkesbury. Also Jimmy told his friends I was going to be his wedding photographer. Before he got engaged. Before telling me. You could call it serendipity! From both feeling so honored to document my own family and the emotional roller coaster it would be.Alicia and Jimmy met when Ali moved into town. It wasn't long before they got together. I knew she was the one because she laughed at every joke he was saying. Every single one.Jimmy and Ali both come from big families of five siblings. Nothing beats the feeling of gaining more family. Not even when our house was already full of girls, my brother being the only guy. Shooting their wedding really opened my eyes. I never knew how important family photos were until I took theirs. Of course, I couldn't had done it without my husband and my friend Audrey who took the camera out of my hands when I needed to be the photos. The day flowed beautifully, from Ali getting ready in a white bedroom that was perfect for getting ready photos. Bride and groom photos were taken at Garden path homemade soap in Vankleek right after the ceremony. What I love most about them is when they're together, it seems like nothing else exists. Together is not just a state but a place for them. It was just like their Morrison's quarry engagement. Soon enough, it was time for their dance reception and that's when the bride and groom and all their guests busted all their moves. A night of fun and dancing no one wanted it to end. I’ll remember it for the rest of my life. There was laughter, happy tears and the celebration of our modern family. When the wrinkles cover my body and there is very little to smile about, I’ll be like Vanessa Redgrave in the movie ‘The evening’ reminiscing on a wedding weekend in her youth and all the people that she loved most.Jim and Ali, I'm so so excited about you two and even more so now with your new puppy Skyler. Thank you for trusting me and for being yourselves around me. I can't wait to see your relationship grow over the years and all the stories we're gonna likely tell your kids all about. This is only the start.
