They decided to have an intimate weekday wedding. On a Tuesday afternoon. In a vineyard no less. They had nine of their closest family members fly from Brazil for their Vineland estates winery wedding. From the bride: ‘I wanna have fun. No crying and no tears. I want a huge smile on my face that makes my makeup wrinkle.’ The bride and groom said their personal written vows to each other in their mother tongue in Portuguese.

We made our way to Vineland’s vineyards and walked around this little gem of a Niagara falls winery. This portion of land looks like a small village from France. Dinner and dance followed. The wedding table was beautiful. Filled with florals, greenery, garlands and candlesticks. A romantic old world feel.

Almost as if we were inside a french castle. Live music was going throughout dinner. Wine was served as the festivities continued. I mean, what winery wedding would it be without wine? Being a pastry chef herself, the bride went big on a beautiful naked cake and an assortments of pastries and french macaroons. Being an Ottawa wedding photographer, I drove five hours back and fourth on the same day to shoot this wedding. That's how in love I am with what I do.

Luiza found my work through Shelley from wine country floral who referred me. I decided to pass the favour along and referred the bride to a makeup artist/hair extraordinaire in the GTA area. Raquel from best face forward artistry. All three of us, worked together last spring on a greenhouse garden wedding. It was even better paired with Karen, the wedding coordinator. Most of all, thank you so much Luiza and Arthur for allowing me to be part of your weekday Vineland estates winery wedding. It couldn't had been more beautiful.
