NYC engagement photographer
Having an engagement session in Confederation park really did make me feel like a NYC engagement photographer. With its copper fountain and downtown city backgrounds, this little gem of a park reminds me so much of central park in New-York city. One of my absolute favorite city in the world. Visiting New-York again and being a NYC wedding photographer has been weighing heavily on my mind this past year. And with the airfare from Ottawa to NYC being so incredibly cheap, who knows what might happen! It's been my dream to shoot central park engagement photos and this session makes me feel like I did just that. There are a few similarities that central Park has to Downtown Ottawa. Of course, our Alexandra bridge is nothing compared to Brooklyn bridge. But New-York has Bethesda Terrace, Ottawa has Rideau Canal Locks. NYC has Belvedere castle, we have Fairmont Chateau Laurier.Speaking of Fairmont Chateau Laurier, that’s where Tom and Amanda got engaged over Christmas last year. After dinner, Tom asked Amanda to go for a walk outside. She said no because of the cold. Making Tom’s plans of proposing on Major's Hill Park impossible. He then suggested to walk around Chateau Laurier’s ballroom. Once they were alone, he reached into his pocket and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. They found me on Instagram which is how most of my clients find me theses days. During their client consult, I knew we were a great fit. We talked about their urban and minimalist decor for their Lago bar grill wedding and our mutual love for our pets. I couldn’t be more excited to have them as clients. They braved the cold, the snow and they did it all while being in their own little love bubble. This Ottawa wedding photographer couldn't be more excited.
