Italian wedding in Ottawa Sala San Marco
Their Italian wedding in Ottawa was my last wedding of this year. We got the last sunny day and the leaves were yellow. The bride's favorite color! But their story doesn't start in here.Tanner flew to Ottawa from Alberta to visit friends. He met Melissa at a party. He thought she was beautiful and loved that she brought homemade cookies to the party. Melissa on the other hand didn't think anything of it. It wasn't long that he made a lasting impression on her. Just a few months later Tanner got down on one knee in the mountains in Banff when she came to visit.Melissa wore some sparkling white Keds sneakers on her wedding day. Just like her sister years before her. Just like Annie in the movie 'father of the bride'. It had become a family tradition. In fact, the bride's sister wore her own wedding sneakers that day!Since the bride and groom were getting ready on the same street, I was able to photograph both of them getting ready for their fall Italian wedding. In true Italian fashion, the whole family waited outside the house to see the bride leave for the ceremony. We went to Mackenzie king estate for their wedding photos. The old ruins had major Pride and prejudice vibes.Their grand Italian entrance was explosive and everyone came to the dance floor to dance with the happy couple. With fog and sparklers no less, the bride and groom danced the night away.Tanner & Melissa, I want to thank you for your joyful and excited energy. For welcoming me so warmly. I had the best time! Truly a special day no ones will forget.
