I've been looking forward to Tamika and Derrick's Bean town ranch wedding since last summer. Being an Ottawa wedding photographer, I'm always excited to travel outside of Ottawa for weddings. Especially for those two. Being big on sentiments, Tamika wore the same earrings her mother wore on her wedding day. Nothing could of wiped the smile of their faces. Not even the rain. Bean town ranch had some amazing photo options even with unpredictable weather.‘Our love is patient.' That's what Tamika said when I asked them how they would describe their relationship. This struck a chord with me as you can imagine. They’re the kind of couple who laughs, who are happy and light. They just enjoy each other’s company and know how to be present. They balance it so well with moments of tenderness. That's exactly how they were at their Bean town ranch wedding and at their Log cabin orchard engagement.

Tamika promised herself she wouldn't cry. She made it through giving all her bridesmaids gifts. She even made it through giving her parents gifts. However, when she was almost done with her speech, she had a few words prepared for her husband. That's when she broke her promise. Derrick and Tamika, I’m not going to try to express how I feel about you two. So I’ll say this. I adore you. Thank you for being so warm and incredible. I’ll see you guys soon.
